Marilyn Markell

Marilyn Markell brings over three decades of compassionate healthcare experience to her current role in financial services. Raised in a family that moved frequently due to her father's career as an RCMP officer, Marilyn’s formative years in places like Virginia and Inuvik instilled in her a deep appreciation for diverse communities and resilient individuals.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta and spent her nursing career working across neonatal, pediatrics, homecare, and eventually specializing in geriatrics—drawn to the wisdom and stories of older adults. Her dedication led her to obtain a gerontology certification, further deepening her commitment to serving seniors with empathy and insight.

Now living on a peaceful acreage in rural Alberta, Marilyn has transitioned from healthcare to financial care. Encouraged by her sister, Dawn Vader, she completed her LLQP certification and joined Dawn’s firm, continuing her lifelong mission of helping others. Marilyn now supports individuals and families in securing their financial futures with the same integrity, warmth, and dedication that defined her nursing career.
