Dawn Vader, CFP, EPC

Dawn Vader has called the Edmonton area home for over 30 years, during the best and worst of Alberta’s economic times. Her career began with 15 years at BMO in Commercial, Insolvency, Lending and Private Banking, where she developed a deep understanding of business finance and client service.

In 2013, Dawn co-founded Red Seal Financial Ltd. with her partner David Lord, CPA, CMA, CFP. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Elder Planning Counselor (EPC), she brings a thoughtful, full-service approach to financial planning—one that blends technical expertise with genuine care. Her background in mediation adds a layer of compassion and clarity to her work, especially when guiding families through complex financial decisions.

Dawn is particularly passionate about supporting women as they take on more financial leadership in their households and businesses. She believes that informed, confident decision-making is key to long-term security and peace of mind.

A lifelong learner and advocate for financial literacy, Dawn has volunteered extensively in the Edmonton community, including delivering classroom programs through Junior Achievement.

Dawn is also a strong advocate for physical and mental well-being. She maintains an active lifestyle and believes that fitness is a cornerstone of personal resilience and clarity. Whether it's swimming, gym-ing, hiking or skiing, Dawn integrates wellness into her routine and believes that time spent in the Rocky Mountains without a cell phone is a good thing.
